Catherine Freeland struts down the walkway in a Christmas tree dress made of recycled materials in the second annual Chi Omega Make A Wish Foundation fashion show at the Hanover College Campus Center on Thursday. David Zach belts out the lyrics to one of Remedy Drive's last songs of the night in a benefit concert for the Ruth Haven transitional home on Monday at North Madison Christian Church. The concert, which also featured local Christian bands As I Am, and New Psalm and soloist Angie Bahmad, and the Chicago-based group Made Avail, helped to raise money and awareness for the transitional home that focuses efforts on helping women who are recovering from addictions.
Michelle Sanchez, vice president of Jefferson County Transitional Services, and one of the lead organizers of the concert told the crowd that Ruth Haven is waiting to place the final piece in their program by finding the right residential manager for the home, which is located where the old Scalo House was on Presbyterian Ave.

Coordinator Kim Washer said moe than $20,000 was raised for this year's event, including $3,000 from the Moose Lodge. The Moose also provided pizza for the families before the shopping trip.
The Pleasant Valley Renegades gun club donated enough toys for every child to get one when Santa visited the children at the end of the evening at the Madison Township Firehouse.
